A medical device, based on Agrosta DFT14 has been designed as well for measuring Soft-

Tissue Firmness and Its Application in Cosmetic Breast Surgery

DFT14 can be used either as a surface deformation tester, or a penetrometer (Equipped

with a needle for testing meat firmness, or hardness of cauliflower or lettuce for

example)

DFT14 is a versatile statistic firmness tester coming with a color touchscreen, a

microSD reader, bluetooth capabilities (With free app for android or Windows) and

speech function

Color Touchscreen :

2.4” touchscreen, you can use the touch buttons to pilot the machine, name and consult the batches and switch ON or OFF the sound

Speech Function :

The Agrosta DFT14 tells you all results after measurement - It is extremely comfortable for the user that does not need to watch the screen. The average is told once the batch is finished

MicroSD slot :

All measurements are stored on the MicroSD once you finish a batch. You can use the keypad proposed on the color touchscreen in order to give a name to the current file The file is a csv (Excel compatible) - Here is how it looks like on Excel :

Bluetooth Low Energy :

The Agrosta DFT14 communicates with any Android device via BLE. The APP is free, a QR code is provided on the manual, and you can download it and install it on a phone or tablet The APP uses optionally the GPS positioning and Barcode scanner of your phone or tablet - so you will have this data inside the file generated The APP stores your data on a csv file as well You can see on the left how the APP looks like

Statistics calculation :

The statistics are extremely important when evaluating the firmness of human and animal tissues Especially the standard deviation, which gives an excellent picture of the firmness homogeneity

Sensor, calibration, maintenance :

The sensor structure is made with ceramic micro-particles, which ensures an extreme rigidity and temperature stability for unparalleled precision

App for android :

By mid 2022, the app comes with a speech function in 40 different languages Just switch off the speech function of the Agrosta®DFT14, and listen to your phone in any language - The app displays a gaussian curve

Agrosta®Kingfisher medical version

Kingfisher has the same sensor of the DFT14, but it comes without screen and SD, it’s just

a bluetooth device that needs to be apaired to a smartphone or computer
